Ricardo A. Aguilera has over 30 years of federal financial management experience ranging from auditing to budget to senior leadership roles in various agencies. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, where he oversees financial and related operations as well as procurement functions. Prior to this, the Honorable Ricardo Aguilera was nominated by President Barak Obama, confirmed by the Senate, and served as the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller. Before that, he was the Director of the Chief Financial Officer Academy at the National Defense University and a senior executive at the U.S. Department of Defense overseeing budgets for military operations overseas. He also had prior supervisory and analytic roles in the Office of Management and Budget and in the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Currently, Mr. Aguilera is pursuing his doctorate at Georgetown University.
