Ysidra Tellez

Executive Director-Breaking the Silence New Mexico

Ysidra Tellez is the Executive Director of the nonprofit called Breaking the Silence New Mexico. She has dedicated her work to management and advocacy in mental health for the last nine years. Ysidra received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico. During that time, she spent two years researching with the Pediatric Neuropsychology lab at the University of New Mexico. She recently obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health at Adams State University and completed a year of internship at UNM Women's Resource Center. Ysidra grew up on a small farm in rural San Jon, NM. She has been an Albuquerque, NM resident for over ten years and enjoys being part of the community. Ysidra believes that education and openness around the reality of mental health are essential to helping people live their best lives and understanding to those who struggle.
