Cynthia “Cin-dee” D. Dunn currently serves as the Director for the Internal Revenue Service, Tax Exempt and Government Entities, Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Cin-dee has held this position in Washington, DC since 2004. She started her federal government career in 1980 as a GS-01 Clerk Typist under the Stay-in-School Program. She began her career in the field of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) in 1988.

Before her exciting career in the IRS, Cin-dee also held several employment positions at agencies such as Export-Import Bank of the U.S., Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Defense. Cin-dee attended the University of Maryland - College Park and the European Division, Nürnberg, West Germany. She honorably holds multiple life memberships with the following National EEO organizations: Blacks in Government (BIG), Deaf in Government (DIG), Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC), Federally Employed Women (FEW), National Image, Inc. (NII), and Society of American Indian Government Employees (SAIGE). Other memberships include African American Federal Executive Association (AAFEA), The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), and the Federal EEO & Civil Rights Council.

Cin-dee is a proud recipient of the 2018 “Woman of the Year” award given by the NII, the recipient of the 2018 “Champion for Diversity” award given by FEW, the recipient of the 2019 “Spirit” award given by the SAIGE, and the recipient of the “Invictus” award given by the IRS-Association for the Improvement of Minorities (AIM). Cin-dee resides in Waldorf, MD. She has two sons and five grandchildren.

In addition to Cin-dee’s multiple years in the federal government, her hard work and dedication has given her the opportunity to present and provide resourceful information for those who are looking for guidance in their careers. Cin-dee has conducted training sessions consistently since 2004. Those who attend her sessions gain amazing insight on how to be successful in the workplace.
