Amir Lowery

Executive Director, Open Goal Project

Amir Lowery serves as the Executive Director for Open Goal Project. A native of Washington, D.C., Amir played for Wake Forest University before embarking on a nearly decade-long professional soccer career in Major League Soccer and the United Soccer League. Upon returning to D.C. to coach, Amir recognized the urgent need for greater diversity in the youth soccer landscape. Determined to make a difference, he founded Open Goal Project to bring more inclusivity to the sport in his hometown.
